Our Products

All the products we offer at Kiari are produced traditionally, no preservatives added.

We preferred to rely on the quality of the goods we offer rather than on their quantity. You will not find our shelves packed with out-of-season products, because we do not want just to sell them; we want you to experience the gifts of the Mediterranean diet as nature provides them. Besides, all the people who cultivate or produce them follow the rules of natural production, showing us the way for their proper consumption. On the one hand, this means that you may not be able to find a particular product throughout the whole year in our store. On the other, it ensures that you can enjoy the best goods of our country, exactly when you should.

The great majority of the products you’ll find in Kiari are from the region of Messinia. However, you’ll also find some delicious exceptions: the unique mastiha from the island of Chios, the organic Nemea raisins and the ready-to-eat Cretan “hohlioi” (snails). You can call us “picky”, but we have carefully selected a great variety of products without the excessive doses of salt or sugar which are often used as preservatives. This fact not only makes them more tasty but, at the same time, healthier. Finally, since we believe that tradition should embrace the beneficial developments of our era, many of those products are gluten-free.

Regarding wines, we are exploring every inch of the area in order to discover and promote local wine producers and varieties, so as wine-lovers from all over the world will enjoy the best hidden treasures from the land of Messinia.
